Murders in Season 1 of The Wire

I created a chart linking all of the murders in season 1 of The Wire.  This chart was created in i2 Analyst's Notebook 8 as a class project.  There was some interest on Twitter, so I'm making it available here.

Note: If you click the picture it will look fuzzy when you zoom in to read it.  Google lowers the quality when embedding it.  You can download the big copy from:  http://tinyurl.com/362tfho

It's a rather large picture (4667×2348) and you do lose a lot of the interactivity with the picture.  Please let me know in the comments if you would be interested in seeing the actual .ANB i2 chart file.  That file would require you to download the i2 ChartReader (available here).

The times and dates used for events are based on my own judgment.  Dates are based on the original air date of the episode and times are mostly random (if they weren't stated in the show).  The orange events are murders, the purple events are murder attempts, and green events are arrests.  I tried to stay true to the idea of not giving away too much.  I wanted the chart to state facts as they were known about the murders.  For example, I don't come out and say that William Gant was killed for being a state's witness because that wasn't necessarily a fact in episode 1.

It's not perfect, but it has a lot of details that are easily missed while watching the show.  Enjoy!
