Yahoo! Makes Good On Music Store DRM

As a follow-up to a previous entry about Yahoo!'s music store closing its doors, they seem to have come up with a good plan to compensate their customers.

Yahoo! will be offering coupons you cant take to their new music partner, Rhapsody, for free MP3 downloads completely free of copyright protection. That's not a bad deal. It will actually allow the Yahoo! customers to come out ahead with DRM-free MP3s.

It would also seem that the coupons are simply good for a free song(s), so no requirement to actually re-"buy" the song(s) they currently have through Yahoo!. They will also offer a refund for customers who "have serious problems with this arrangement."

I'm glad to see Yahoo! is taking initiative to make everything right.
